Nicole Griffith, M.A., CCC-SLP
Owner/Speech-Language Pathologist
Nicole has been a speech-language pathologist (SLP) for over 10 years. She graduated from the University of Kansas with a Master’s in Speech-Language-Hearing in 2015 and has been in love with the profession ever since. Nicole has worked in a variety of settings including outpatient, acute care in hospitals, early childhood development center, and public schools. She has extensive knowledge ranging from birth to adulthood. Although Nicole has loved every experience and setting worked as an SLP, creating a private practice has been a career aspiration of hers from the beginning.
Nicole is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and maintains her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC’s). She is licensed to practice in the states of Kansas and Missouri.
Nicole has expertise in treating articulation and phonological disorders (speech sound errors) with a variety of approaches including cycles, minimal pairs, multiple oppositions, and more. She has hundreds of hours of experience in treating receptive/expressive language, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), and social skills. She has a passion for providing early intervention to little ones and providing parent support. Additionally, Nicole is trained in the following specialized courses: Meaningful Speech (gestalt language processors) and Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing (treatment for childhood apraxia of speech). Nicole is a lifelong Kansas resident who currently resides in Olathe, KS with her husband, 3 children, and 2 shelties. Her hobbies include playing with her kids, discovering new parks, cheering for the Kansas City Chiefs, baking bread and sweet treats, traveling, adding to her saltwater reef aquarium, gardening and exploring new coffee shops and breweries in Kansas City.
Alyssa Wood, OTD, OTR/L
Occupational Therapist
Alyssa Wood is a licensed occupational therapist who earned her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from the University of Kansas Medical Center in 2022. She has experience working in school-based, outpatient, and hospital settings, with a strong passion for supporting children and their families.
Alyssa is dedicated to helping children build the skills they need to thrive in their everyday lives from play and self-care to school participation and social engagement. She values creating a fun, supportive, and individualized therapy environment where each child can grow in confidence and independence.
Her clinical interests include sensory processing and orthopedic conditions. Alyssa is a member of the Kansas Occupational Therapy Association (KOTA) and is certified through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). She is currently licensed in Kansas and is in the process of obtaining licensure in Missouri. She is also working toward her Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist (ASDCS) certification.
Originally from western Kansas, Alyssa earned her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology from Kansas State University. She lives with her husband, two young children, and their high-energy German Shepherd mix. Outside of work, she enjoys staying active, spending time outdoors, traveling, and making memories with her family. She is a lifelong fan of the Kansas State Wildcats and Green Bay Packers.
Grace Buckalew, M.A., CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
Grace has been a speech-language pathologist since graduating from the University of Kansas in 2024. Grace received her undergraduate degree from the University of Delaware in Cognitive Science with minors in Disability Studies and Public Policy in 2022, and her Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology in 2024. Grace currently works full-time in an early childhood center, but loves to work with students and clients of all ages.
Grace has experience assessing and providing intervention related to: articulation disorders, phonological disorders, receptive and expressive language, gestalt language processing, augmentative and alternative communication, and more. Grace is passionate about literacy, and loves to incorporate elements of literacy into her therapy sessions. One of Grace’s favorite clinical experiences is providing intervention and parent training sessions for augmentative and alternative communication.
Grace is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is licensed to practice in the state of Kansas. Grace is trained in the Meaningful Speech specialized course which details identification and intervention regarding Gestalt Language Processors.
Grace is originally from Wilmington, Delaware (very close to Philadelphia) and made the move to Kansas to pursue her career as an SLP. Grace loves to read, camp, cook, watch Philadelphia sports, and is currently learning how to sew!
Kate Brite, M.S., CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
Kathryn (Kate) Brite graduated in 2015 from Rockhurst University with a masters degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She received her undergraduate degree in Liberal Studies from Portland State University in Portland, OR. Kate recently returned to Kansas City from New Orleans, LA, where she has practiced for the past 10 years. Kate has experience working with a variety of ages and needs in various settings. She currently works in the Blue Valley School District but enjoys the more personalized clinical setting.
Kate is a member of the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) and maintains her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC’s). She is licensed to practice in Kansas and Louisiana.
Kate is an active member of the neurodiversity community and strives to implement neuro-affirming practices in her therapy. Kate has extensive experience working with children with childhood apraxia of speech, receptive/expressive language disorders, and children with complex communication needs. She is certified in the PROMPT (Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets) method, and has completed advanced training in Language Acquisition through Motor Planning (LAMP) and the principles of floortime therapy. She also has experience in the diagnosis and treatment of sensory feeding disorders.
In her free time, Kate enjoys swimming with her son, reading, and cooking Cajun food for her family.
Carley Frisch, M.A., CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
Carley has been a speech-language pathologist since graduating in 2024. Carley received her undergraduate degree from Kansas State University in Communication Sciences and Disorders with minors in Leadership Studies and Spanish in 2022, and her Master’s degree from the University of Kansas in Speech Language Pathology in 2024. Carley currently works full-time in an elementary school (preschool-5th grade), but loves working with clients of all ages.
Carley is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and maintains her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC’s). She is licensed to practice in the state of Kansas.
Carley has extensive knowledge and experience relating to treatment and evaluation in the following areas: augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), receptive and expressive language, gestalt language processing, and articulation disorders. Carley is passionate about AAC and neurodivergent language development, and believes that anyone can be an independent communicator with the right tools and supports. Her therapy approach focuses on relationship building, co-regulation, and putting a client’s interests first.
Carley has specialized training in the Meaningful Speech course for Gestalt Language Processing, and in the following augmentative and alternative communication systems: LAMP Words for Life, TD Snap, Proloquo2Go, and TouchChat. Carley is originally from Crystal Lake, Illinois (right outside of Chicago) and moved to Kansas to pursue her career as an SLP.
Carley loves to travel, bake breads and sweets, swim, read, and is currently learning how to throw pottery!
